The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.

SASSA will be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency mentioned it's alarmed concerning the high range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there read more is no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The service position established for intervention experiences a large influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to empower the servicing of all shoppers and maximize usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
